Timings of Passport Office in Lahore 

Passport offices are open during the same times as other government offices. On Saturdays and Sundays, they are closed. The passport office timings in Lahore are below:

• Monday to Thursday: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
• Friday: 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM

These timings change. People in charge decide when to change them. Some offices work 24 hours, but not always on the same days. You can call your local passport office and ask if they do or not by looking at the contact numbers in the location section.

Documents and Procedure for Passport Application in Lahore 

According to the Passport Act 1974, there are three types of passports that can be issued to Pakistani citizens:

• Ordinary 
• Diplomatic 
• Official

You will need the same documents to make a passport application in Lahore, and all three types of passports. Now, let's see what you will need for the process.

Required Documents for Passport Application 

In Pakistan, there are different documents for adults and minors. If you are an adult, you need to show up at the passport office with these documents:

• 2 photocopies of CNIC or NICOP
• Bank receiving of the prescribed fee deposit
• Foreign passport and its photocopy in case of dual nationality
• No-Objection Certificate (NOC) [ if you are a government employee] 
• Original CNIC or NICOP 

The document required for minors are:

• Bank receipt of the prescribed fee deposit
• Computerized Registration Certificate (CRC) issued by NADRA
• Original and photocopy of foreign passport [for dual citizens]
• Photocopies of parents’ CNICs
• Two photocopies of birth certificate from NADRA

The documents required for the renewal of passport are: 

• Bank receipt of the authorized fee deposit
• Original CNIC
• Old Passport and its photocopy

Procedure Followed to Apply for Passport in Lahore 

The passport process is the same in Lahore as it is anywhere else. You need to go to the office and bring your documents. Follow these steps:

Step 1: When you want to get a passport, go to the National Bank counter. They will take your money and give you a receipt. Then go to Customer Service Counter and they will give you a form.

Note: To get a passport, you have to go to the passport office in your district. This is because each district has a different office.

Step 2: Now, an officer will take your picture and give you a number. Wait in line until the screen shows your number. Then go to the counter that has your number on it.

Step 3: When your number is on the screen and you hear a beep, go to the counter. Give them your fingerprint and some information. 

Step 4: You need to give your name, birthday, address, and job. If you are renewing your passport, the officer will fix any mistakes.

Note: Double-check your spelling, make sure that the address is right, and make sure all of your information is correct.

Step 5: You will be checked against the Exit Control List or ECL. This list is a list of people who cannot go out of the country. If you are on this list, you cannot leave.

Step 6: For the interview, you will be called by the assistant director. They will ask you some questions. After, you will get a receipt that has your passport tracking number and delivery date on it.

Step 7: You need to get your passport back at the Regional Passport Office by the date on the form. You can also have it delivered to you, but then you will have to pay more money.

Cost of Getting Passport in Lahore 

Like the rest of Pakistan, the Passport fee in Lahore is charged by category. There are two categories of passports:

• Ordinary: Is delivered in two weeks
• Urgent: Is delivered in four days
